Grower Notes:

The Purple Catalpa is a deciduous tree with emerging dark purple, almost black, foliage that gradually ages to a dark green. Small, white tubular flower clusters appear in spring that have purple and yellow markings.

The Purple Catalpa thrives in full to part sun and prefers moist, rich, well-drained soils.
